Tracking your participants is an important part of the whole road racing aspect of the event. We want an efficient way of keeping track of the participants through the entire event process. This is tied in with Race Registration. Race numbers or bibs help give every runner an identity for you to keep track of. This will make things easier when placing finishers in the correct order. Most race numbers come with timing chips now, but event organizers can also have tags to pull off the runners’ bibs to keep track as they finish.
